Privacy Policy

Studist is a small, independently-run productivity application based in Ontario, Canada. This page describes, specifically, what data we collect and why — not generic boilerplate.

What we collect

Account & authentication data. Your email address, and — for email/password sign-in — a securely hashed password managed entirely by our authentication provider, Supabase Auth. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and basic profile information Google provides.

Your study/work data. Session start/end times or durations, categories you create, optional task and note text you enter, and your weekly goals and preferences.

Product analytics (studist.org only). Aggregate usage via Google Analytics, configured to exclude anything you type into the app.

What we don't collect

We don't run advertising or marketing-tracking scripts. We don't sell your personal data, and we don't use it for advertising.
